What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It's played on a court with a net, using a perforated polymer ball and solid paddles. The game is easy to learn but offers plenty of opportunity for competitive play.
The Court & Equipment
The Court
Similar to a badminton court (20x44 feet), with a net at 36 inches at the edges and 34 inches in the center. Features a "kitchen" (non-volley zone) near the net.
The Paddle
Solid paddles made from wood, composite, or graphite. Larger than table tennis paddles but smaller than tennis racquets.
The Ball
A perforated polymer ball, similar to a wiffle ball. Indoor and outdoor balls have different hole patterns.
