Club Play
Coalville Pickleball Club meets at Whitwick and Coalville Leisure Centre. We welcome new players of all abilities, and if you’re planning to join us for the first time, we appreciate a quick message in advance so we can help you settle in smoothly.
Please note, club leaders are here to organise play and answer general questions, but we do not manage bookings, payments, or leisure centre memberships. All court bookings are handled directly through the leisure centre’s app. Club leaders can only see the total number of bookings for each session and do not have access to individual names.
If you need help downloading or using the booking app, please follow the instructions below. For any issues related to bookings or payments, it’s best to contact the leisure centre team directly.

Playing at Coalville
It costs £3.50 per player (per session) to play at Coalville. Payment is taken by the leisure centre, please arrive as early as possible as reception can be busy and we want you to get as much play time as possible. Alternatively, book a space using the app, follow the instructions below:

Using THE APP
Once you have the app downloaded and your account set up, load the app and select “Activities”
Make sure you select the Whitwick and Coalville Leisure Centre at the top.
Select The Activity
Wednesdays 19:00 to 20:00, Wednesdays 20:00 to 21:00, Fridays 18:00 to 19:00, and Saturdays 08:30 to 09:30 are found under “Adult Activities“.
Choose the Session
All available sessions will be displayed for the week ahead. Remember to check both the Adult Activities and the Inclusive Activities sections depending on your day.
BOOK THE SESSION
Once you make your selection, you need to book and pay for it, press the “Book” button and follow the payment options.
Checking YOUR BOOKING
When you attend the centre, open your app and select “My Bookings & Favourites”
FIND YOUR BOOKING
Look in the “Upcoming” part of the “My Bookings” section and select the correct session.
ACCESS THE BARRIER
From the home page of the app, select “Turnstile / Gate Access”. You need the “Use QR Scan” option, this will open your camera. Point the camera at the QR code displayed on the barrier.
If your booking day and time is correct, the barrier will open.

On occasion, we do record scores for DUPR. This means our players get a ranking score, which is helpful if entering tournaments or other external events.
We all win and lose games, so a person’s score will go up and down but an average is normally found quite early. You will be auto-enrolled for DUPR scoring and the club scores will be made, you don’t need to participate or download the app if you prefer not to, but when (or if) you’re ready, the score will be waiting for you.
